ABOUT the

WOMEN in BUSINESS NETWORK

AN OVERVIEW

The Northwest Women in Business Network was formed  in 2003.  As  local business owners in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; they determined there was a need for a different type of “Way to Network”- they wanted something that would bring like minded individuals together and really make a difference in their marketing efforts.

In our communities there were many types of Networking organizations to join- However we believe this system is a better way to create lasting business relationships and a sense of trust with those business associates.  In addition, something that is not taking us away from the other obligations in life.

They called a few “Women” business affiliates and proposed a Networking group to start up-  They began meeting every two weeks at a local diner for lunch. (Lunch hour meetings work as two tasks in one.)  Many of us have families and need to be with them after work.

After 4 months the group was up to 30 women; we had to find a larger facility to fit us comfortably.  Especially when we added the commercials & display table opportunities.

Currently our luncheons attract over 70 women who attend on a monthly basis.  The first 15 minutes are mingling and networking-  Then we have a several opportunities during lunch for more networking, commercials & mentoring.    The entire hour is devoted to getting to know your fellow members and building those lasting relationships to further grow each members business.

The reason for a “Women” based Networking Membership is that there is a sense of commonality already present!  Like minded individuals with the similar daily obligations, similar hurdles, and situations you may be faced with also.

In turn, this organization creates an environment where the common ground is already established… So, let’s get down to business. With the many hats today’s women wears- we need to know there is a place where we can come and not be labeled into a group that is unsubstantiated.

Instead, it’s a place to come with an agenda, to provide mutual marketing with a focused audience, then return to work in a timely manner.  Members benefit from this “Intentional” marketing; and yet still have time to maintain the other areas of our lives: family, faith, friends, and work.
